Voice of The Youth- Think Differently

“I believe in the Power of Youth.”

The more we, the youth recognize that we have a voice, the more change is possible. Everyone has a different opinion and with time even this opinion has to change. In today’s hectic life change cannot just be wished for, efforts are required to bring change. To change the circumstances, we need to see things in a different way and we need to start thinking from a different angle rather than accepting the bitter and unacceptable opinion of the world.

It is time for us to think big and to act big. We cannot waive off every situation with, ‘Are iska kya hai, sab thik hojayega, chalta hai’, because who knows if everything will be fine. If everyone starts thinking in a similar manner, then we are succumbing to societal norms and rejecting new approach. Well may be people might think you for crazy or may be-outspoken to have your opinion. But sometimes crazy is ok, far better than humdrum and not everything needs a rationale to begin with.

As Seba Smith rightly said “There is more than one way to skin a cat”. Real world isn’t a math or physics problem, every situation doesn’t necessary have only one solution, we have to modify our thinking with situation. For instance, gravity wouldn’t be discovered until today if Isaac Newton would have just eaten the fallen apple, anyone sitting under the tree would have eaten the fallen apple instead, he thought different, he went on a diverse path; and he completely surprised the whole world with his theory. Another great illustration is that of Thomas Edison, who was considered crazy with a mental illness since the beginning, but he’s the one to invent the bulb, we could say he had a very restless mind, but I wouldn’t call being a great inventor crazy. Many such great personalities might be crazy, crazy for their passion, crazy for their different visions, crazy to change the world.

Edison said that we know one millionth of what is knowable. What about the rest? Very few may go beyond that one millionth to find what is the other way. But to bring a change the opinions of only few may help but not on an extensive rate. Hence, we too should work assiduously and relentlessly to go beyond of what is known, to convert possibility into reality through complete change in our approach. Let your choice be different or incorrect but never stop having a different view. Maybe you don’t fit amongst the others but that’s alright because you have your own thinking power. Do not give up for your choice and stay firm on your opinion if you think that it could make some change happen. Never limit yourselves to keep just few opinions that are similar to others and never de-motivate yourself just because others think that you are wrong. Because, what others think of you can never limit you to stop thinking to change the world.

So, never stop dreaming. But don’t just dream of it instead, have a unique mindset in bringing something new, something innovative something that defines your capability. Because every change needs a little pixie dust of your confidence, your thoughts and of your will that you can definitely do it.

At last, I would like to quote the saying by Steve Jobs, “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
